About Us
SMidwest Rehabilitation was founded in 2014, by Dr.Alex Earl, DC and his rehabilitation professor and mentor Dr. Thomas Solecki, DC. Determined to bring more diplomate candidates to the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (ACRB), the two set out to develop a unique rehabilitation program that fulfilled two crucial areas:
1. The material covered in the courses qualified participants to sit for the ACRB examination to be considered a specialist in chiropractic rehabilitation.
2. Provide students and providers the necessary framework to connect the academic with the clinical knowledge to be successful in clinical practice.
Since 2014, MWRI has evolved and brought in expert speakers on all different types of topics, including dry needling, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and workload management. MWRI became the world's largest DNS organizer in 2019, when we hosted and organized 20 DNS courses across the United State. MWRI has organized a total of 55 DNS courses and directly influenced over 1,000 participants. Courses quickly became integrated with athletic trainers, physical therapists and strength & conditioning coaches - even one dentist!
In 2015, MWRI added needling programs to their arsenal. Courses were taught by renowned chiropractic physician, Eric Mitz, DC of Evansville, Indiana. Dr. Mitz has become one of the countries most sought after speakers on the topics of musculoskeletal acupuncture and myofascial dry needling. In 2018, MWRI added Dr. Gary Estadt, DC to the dry needling faculty. Dr. Estadt joined MWRI in addition to serving on the Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture, where he is the President. 2018, Dr. Lauren Keller, DC DABCA joined the acupuncture staff and provided the material for the Online Learning portion of our acupuncture program.
MWRI has also seen a dramatic transformation in the type of courses offered, including Tim Gabbett's Workload Management: Train Smarter & Train Harder course in 2019, which was one the highlights of the year. A sold-out group joined Tim and his pioneering methods for tracking the necessary data to keep athlete safe, robust and resilient from inherent injury from their sport. We look forward to hosting Tim again in 2020 and beyond!
MWRI will continue to lead the chiropractic & physical therapy education experience, including the launching of our very own Essentials Series, which is set to be offered in-person & online in 2020.
If you are tired of attending the same conferences year after year with the same presenters (and the same topics), then this is the place for you. We will always make our courses entertaining & effective in order for providers to return to their clinics and positively influence the lives of their patients.
