Workload Management Course: Train Smarter & Harder Workshop (Chicago, IL)
Dates:
June 10-11, 2021
Chicago, IL
Tim has been an international speaker on the topic of Workload Management, Acute:Chronic Ratio and much, much more for well over a decade.
WHO this course is for:
- Head Coaches (who want to enhance communication with medical & strength staff regarding the appropriate management of their players. If you are head coach, and you've ever thought, "Is he good to go?" "When can I expect her to be ready to play?" "Did the doctor tell you when you can play?" Or, "Are you sure you've been cleared to play? You don't look like you're ready!" Any many more inquiries that don't always result in a clear answer - This course is for you!
- Sports medicine professionals who want to better understand how to safely progress an injured athlete out of the clinic and into their training environment.
- Sports performance coaches & strength and conditioning coaches who want to load their players and communicate with medical professionals and coaches directly about the progress of their athlete.
- Clinicians who treat the injured athlete, oftentimes in a "silo", in which communication, especially expectations, are lost in the wind. Learning how to eliminate silos and get everyone in the Athlete's Health Care team to comprehend this material is VITAL.
Physical therapists, athletic trainers, and strength and conditioning coaches are heavily involved in the early-stage rehabilitation of injured athletes and returning these athletes to peak performance. Effective load management is critical in achieving these aims.
This workshop will provide the latest scientific evidence on training load monitoring and safely progressing (and regressing) training loads to build robust and resilient athletes.
At the conclusion of the course, participants will have an advanced understanding of load management principles, training program design, and preparation for the most demanding passages of competition. Participants will also obtain an advanced understanding of the factors that contribute to load tolerance in athletes.
